Tanterari is in hot form at present and can defy a hike in the weights here, Carlys Quest and Migwell could be the ones to chase him home. Martin Pipe's gelding has improved out of all recognition, and landed the hat-trick with a neck success over Bramlyn Brook at Bangor last time. It was quite a cheeky victory as there was plenty left in the tank and he is fully expected to make it four on the bounce. Migwell hails from a yard in form and stayed on well to beat Touch Closer over two miles six furlongs last time. Today's extra distance will not be a problem and he looks to hold obvious place claims. However the main threat to the selection could be Carlys Quest who slaughtered a field of decent handicappers last time, including Bramlyn Brook. A strict interpretation of that form puts this one clear of the selection so he does hold obvious claims.Dickens should improve for his seasonal debut effort and is another to consider, but Tanterari is still on the upgrade and is taken to land the spoils
