Blushing Bull can keep this season's unbeaten record intact at the expense of Always In Debt, Star Prize and Headliner. Although set to carry a penalty, Blushing Bull has shown enough to suggest that he can add to his two course victories already this year. The son of Makbul looked one to follow when landing a bumper at the Welsh track in May, and that was confirmed when he made a winning start to his hurdling career here just over a month ago, handling the soft ground and step up in trip in style. The stable won that race 12 months ago with Cornish Rebel who went on to win the Challow Hurdle at Newbury, and Blushing Bull now has the same agenda. With that in mind, connections will be disappointed if he does not collect today. In truth it is hard to see what is going to stop him, with none of the others able to boast winning form. Always In Debt does at least hail from a top yard as does Headliner, but both will have to improve a good deal to trouble the selection who gets a confident vote.
