In depth

Verdict

Lysander gets the confident vote to win the finale with Storm of Applause and Gala Evening rating the main dangers. The selection was a good fourth behind Cloudy Lane last time out. That form looks rock solid in the context of this race and with this faster ground also in his favour he will be hard to beat. Storm Of Applause rates the main danger on his latest third behind Bold Fire but all his best form is on a softer surface and for that reason he is opposed,. Gala Evening is another worthy of respect as he was a fair sort on the flat and with his yard in form he should be noted in the market. Of the remainder Argonaut is another from a yard in form and is another to note in the market but Lysander sets a fair standard and will be hard to beat.
