Verdict

Okafranca is given a chance to atone for his recent defeat at the main expense of No Rule and Potemkin. Willie Muir's gelding was a winner at Folkestone two runs back when beating Trenchant at Folkestone in facile fashion. He was bumped up in the weights for his next run at Haydock but may not have been in love with the heavy ground. Back on a better surface today, he shapes as if he'll get this trip and is the selection accordingly. Let Me Pass' chance may be resting on this softer ground and cheek-pieces, whilst Potemkin represents Alan King who has his horses in very good form especially on the flat. Loveofmylife is pretty modest, as is No Rules. Hoar Frost has a better profile for backers and was a winner at Hamilton earlier in the season but that was on quicker ground. Brave Boogie ran well in defeat last time and shouldn't be far away, however it is Okfranca who receives the vote.
