Verdict

A competitive handicap here with Kiwi Babe, Be My Royal, Ice Crystal and Jonanaud all with chances but the tentative vote goes to Jonanaud. The horses was outclassed at the Cheltenham Open meeting but ran better than most people expected. He is back to his favourite track and has to be respected off a mark he is well capable of winning off and ground that will suit. Kiwi Babe will pose as a big danger after her recent Folkestone win and the Nicholls yard is in good form. Ice Crystal was not beaten far at Newton Abbot last time out and deserves a win after some decent efforts. Be My Royal has some form to his name but has not been seen for over two years and on ground that will prove testing will be sharper for the run. So for the winner we return to Jonanaud.
