Bonjour Steve has gone well on all starts at this track, is not ground-dependent and was unlucky not to make the frame here last time. He should go well once again. Dusty Blue may have needed it last time but VALE OF PARIS is of greater interest. Her latest run is hard to assess when a fast-finishing fourth at Lingfield after fly-jumping the stalls and then taking time to get organised. It was a fair effort in the circumstances to get as close as she did and she'd previously looked a steady improver, albeit at a fairly ordinary level. This is only her fifth career start and she's afforded another opportunity to confirm the good impression made on her first two winning starts of the season.
Pandar 16-1 (9-3) Held up and behind, not clear run inside final 2f, kept on inside final furlong, not reach leaders, 6th of 11, 3 1/4l behind Midnight Rider (9-8) at Chepstow 6f hcp (4) gf in Jul.
Dusty Blue 13-2 (9-7) Reluctant to leave stalls and lost all chance, never a factor, last of 6, 8 3/4l behind Racing Angel (8-5) at Leicester 5f hcp (5) gd in Jul.
Bonjour Steve 4-1fav (8-9) Chased leader, challenged 2f out, led briefly 1f out, chased winner until well inside final furlong, lost 3rd final strides, 4th of 11, 1 1/4l behind Midnight Rider (9-8) at Chepstow 6f hcp (4) gf in Jul.

Very First Blade 8-1 (9-6) Behind, headway on outside over 1f out, kept on under pressure inside final furlong, went 4th last strides, nearest finish, 4th of 10, 2 1/2l behind Hit The Lights (9-3) at Chepstow 5f hcp (6) gf in Jul.
She's Invincible (IRE) 16-1 (9-3) Edged right out of stalls, tracked leaders, 5th early, no impression from 2f out, 13th of 20, 14 1/2l behind Ask Dad (9-13) at Naas 6f hcp gf in Jun.
