Verdict

O'Toole, Blushing Bull, Natterjack and Rollo look the ones to concentrate on in a wide-open bumper with the vote going to O'Toole. The selection was a good second on his debut behind Cruising Clyde at Wincanton last month, and as he is sure to come on for the experience, looks the one to be on. Blushing Bull was a good second on his debut and was a fair 11th in a grade 2 bumper behind the unbeaten Secret Ploy. This is much easier and he has definite place claims. Natterjack has shown a modicum of ability on his two runs to date but he is bred to come into his own over a longer trip and may not have the toe to win in this sphere. Rollo is the other worth considering as he was a fair seventh behind Royal Paradise who went on to contest the Cheltenham Bumper, but his best form has been on heavy ground and he would be a danger to all if the rains arrived. Of the newcomers, Farouk appeals slightly on breeding and is worth a cautionary look in the market, but for the winner we return to O'Toole who will appreciate this slightly stiffer test on breeding.
