      Verdict

      Brockton Mist has been most progressive over hurdles so it is a surprise to see him try fences so soon. Connections obviously think he is up to the task and is consequently the TEAMtalk selection. The ground and distance should both suit. Haut Cercy was well regarded but slightly disappointing last season but still has the best chase form on show here. The going should suit and he will be the one to take advantage of any jumping flaws in the selection. Lorgnette showed admirable consistency over hurdles last season and has had a recent run out over hurdles. He should win races this year but perhaps not today.
