In depth

Verdict

The three-year-old Bombshell Boy was awarded the race in the steward's room after finishing a head second at Windsor but is 3lb higher and taking on older horses for the first time. The other youngster in the line-up, Global Exceed, won a couple of nurseries in his first campaign so should be tough enough to give a good account on his reappearance. The veteran Peak Storm is the only course and distance winner in the line-up though has been badly out of form while Keeper's Choice returns after a long break though took on decent company after her Salisbury maiden victory. Irish raider Cash In Mind wouldn't be coming here without a chance though the ground is a concern so the vote goes to VIXEN, the winner of a Salisbury handicap in October and just 2lb higher.
