In depth

Verdict

Iskar D'Airy won a bumper in France but hasn't done so well on quicker ground for Gary Moore so some rain would aid his cause. Welsby, who won an Aintree bumper for Nicky Henderson, ran a fine race when runner-up for new connections here in October but didn't make the expected progress on a return visit a month later. Eye To The Sky started odds-on for a four-runner bumper at Fontwell last September and led for a long way but BENANDGONE looks the safer option. He's been performing well in similar events and, though looking exposed, can get off the mark. Lord Bill was a 100/1 chance when runner-up here at the beginning of the month and won't need much more to get involved.
