This is pretty competitive but if VIRGINIA CHICK can maintain his impressive levels of improvement, despite now being 27lb higher than when scoring at Exeter in December, he should go close once again. His winning run came to an end last time at Warwick but he handled the heavy ground effectively and there was no disgrace in coming home runner-up behind the well-punted Now McGinty in what rated a decent contest. Take Em Out looks on a fair mark for his hurdling debut and is respected along with Brynmawr, who gained a first career success last time and is expected to progress further under the tutelage of Colin Tizzard. However, the main danger looks to be Lady Karina, still lightly-raced for Venetia Williams and with a career record of real promise to date. She was far from out of things when falling at Cheltenham in a much better race when last seen in December, though the market may well inform as to her chance after a break.
