This is a tricky race to call but SPIC 'N SPAN looks the pick on paper and gets the narrow vote ahead of Blubok and Green Lagonda. The selection is trained locally by Ron Harris and has been running in sellers and claimers of late. He won a seller at Wolverhampton last time out and in fact he now runs off a two pound lower mark. If confidence is restored and he can raise his game once more he will not be far away come the business end of the race. Blubok won a handicap at Lingfield before finishing third of eight at Kempton off a two pound higher mark last time out. He has won off a similar mark in the past and is sure to be a popular choice. Green Lagonda looks well treated on his best form. He won a similar contest at Folkestone last month and any support in the market should be noted. Many horses have chances in this finale but Spic 'n Span has recent winning form and takes preference.
