A big field for not very much prize money. MIDNIGHT MAGIC didn’t win over hurdles but there was some encouragement in his first run over fences at Ffos Las, where he made late headway to finish within six lengths of a subsequent easy winner. He has scope over the larger obstacles, which is more than you can say about the majority of his rivals, and holds Maybe Plenty on collateral form. Kiwi Myth beat the frustrating Big Time Frank a length over 3m at Exeter, with Kilcrea Bridge and Pine Warbler further behind, and is only 5lb higher. Heresmynumber is interesting as he won off a higher mark a year ago and has been hurdling this term. Leith Hill Legasi would also have a chance at the weights and Charlie Longsdon’s stable is back in form so a market check is advised.
