    Verdict

With no obvious pacesetter in the field it may be that Kansas City has to make the running in this two-mile handicap chase. Oliver McPhail's mount is unlikely to stay at the head of affairs though as she has shown very little worthwhile form since coming to this country from France. Another French import, the Paul Nicholls-trained Jupon Vert, is probably better on a softer surface and with Red Oassis looking distinctly moderate the vote goes to Reach The Clouds. John Upson's gelding has been beaten off this mark in his last three starts but they have all been in better races than this and, with conditions to suit, he gets the nod.
