In depth

Verdict

The step up in trip could be the making of Ask Henry, who shaped up nicely in his two previous outings under rules. Today's track should help combat his tendency to jump out to the left, but his speed at his fences could leave the rest playing for places today. Its Only Polite is going the right way and should go well despite his penalty for winning at Hereford last month. His experience should count for plenty today and he is taken to give Paul Nicholls' charge the most to do as Lord Maizey and Better Thyne are yet to jump a fence in public and are hard to assess for the moment. West Hill Rose appeals as the best of the rest.
