The Paul Nicholls-trained Asador has not had luck on his side too many times since he arrived from France and he is a horse to tread carefully with after his well documented leg problems. However, he will appreciate the cut in the ground and merits consideration if there is support for him on course. But there has to be a suspicion that he will be taken off his feet over this trip with Jarro in the field and his connections may just have to settle for a safe completion as their best hope today. Jarro on the other hand, is on the crest of a wave and will relish being taken on for the lead by Asparagus and Abalvino. Venetia Williams has her string in good order at present and can gain some compensation for the loss of the promising Golden Goal, who fractured a leg on the gallops and was put down on Thursday afternoon.
