Daryal gets the nod over the likes of Brave Rebellion, Grecian Groom, Le Volfoni and Harry Potter. At first glance this looks difficult to solve, but Daryal has been in fair form on the Flat, and showed that he could handle fast ground as well as soft when scoring at Chester in August. The step back up to this trip will suit him and Alan King's six-year-old should make a bold bid. Brave Rebellion has to be on the short-list as well, having won each of his last four starts, the latest of which came at Wetherby in easy fashion back in May. Grecian Groom did nothing wrong when beating subsequent winner Masjoor at Fontwell last week, and Le Volfoni may appreciate a spell over the smaller obstacles for the time being. Likewise Harry Potter, who was still going well when falling behind Butler's Cabin at Cheltenham 12-months ago. Stoop To Conquer may go well at a big price as well, but Daryal is the selection to small stakes.
