Verdict

Braddock is selected here ahead of The Kiddykid and Osiris Way. Both physically and the fact that he has won all three of his starts in progressive style, Braddock might provide the answer to this interesting sprint. Today is acid test day really. The Kiddykid was winning at Listed level and competing well at Group level last season so, if the first-time headgear works, he can go well today. Greenslades has dropped to a good mark and actually ran well for a long way over seven furlongs at Newmarket last time but the soft going and his tendency to race keenly might work against him tonight. Mango Music acts on soft and, being not far above a winning mark now, he is entitled to some thought, while, lightly-raced, Osiris Way has found his niche now at today's trip. He, too, is entitled to thought even though he has been raised eight pounds for his latest success. Finally, Matuza is on a fair mark but is unproven on the surface, and Tony James likes soft going but has not won since 2004. Once again, then, the selection is Braddock.
