MUNCHING MIKE is narrowly preferred here to Anay Turge, Hello You and Saint Par. Tim Vaughan's gelding ran well when last seen, finishing fourth to Stratford Stroller at Worcester. He tries a tongue-tie and cheek-pieces combo today on this return to action and now 2lb lower than his last winning mark, he looks sure to run well on this first start for his new trainer. Anay Turge is a strong stayer and he shapes as if this longer trip will be in his favour today, although it will be the quickest ground he has encountered for a while. Call Me Sir looks well-treated on his effort behind Cresswell Ruby a while back but has been poor since, Dance Hall Diva looks well-handicapped, whilst Hello You has been running in stronger races and should not be discounted off a 4lb lower mark. The market needs to be watched for Gunnsayso, as well as Dolans Bay on this first start for Jim Best, whilst Ninety Nine Looks returns from a break and is a contender on his selling form from nearly a year ago. Not a strong race by any means, but Munching Mike is selected.
