In depth

Verdict

A race that has plenty of deadwood despite the size of the entry and DRUSSELL could be the call against Kellystown Lad and Rossini's Dancer. The Irish raider gets in off a featherweight today and was last seen when obliging at Fairyhouse last month. He won with a shade in hand and as such, has made life difficult for the assessor. Kellystown Lad won over 2m4f at Musselburgh. The form of his fourth at Sedgefield was given a boost earlier in the week, Rossini's Dancer is locally trained and is likely to have its supporters. A middle distance performer on the flat, he needs to improve upon two efforts in similar company. Arctic Court represents connections that do well here so watch the market. Lisbon Lion should be fit from a couple of recent spins on the level. Si Bien seemed to struggle for heavy going at Newcastle - there could be better to come on today's likely surface. Middlemarch returns from absence. Onajet was last seen at Sandown but that is the one at Australia rather than the Esher venue. Drussell seems on the upgrade and can make full use of all the allowances.
