In depth

Verdict

Not the strongest of maidens with the exposed Dedham Vale setting the standard. He has had plenty of chances and could well find a few of these improving past him. Stablemate Atahuelpa looks sure to appreciate this trip, as he is related to a winning hurdler, while Doc Watson and Lesath are others to consider. However, the vote goes to Carenage, who looks sure to improve for the step up in trip and the form of her fourth at Newmarket has been made to look better by the subsequent success of the runner-up Flying Wanda.
