      Verdict

      Sov returns to action after winning at Pontefract on his racecourse debut in September and could be in the mix but Andrew Balding looks to have every chance of repeating Dandy's win last year with PRIORS BROOK (NAP). The latter was caught in the final furlong over 1m4f on his reappearance and this return to his winning trip will suit. Arantes was expected to do better at Goodwood last week and Euroquip Boy is preferred having gone close over today's distance at Leicester on his penultimate start. Both Marengo and Evervescent still look high enough in the weights at present.
