Freeloader can bring up a straight hat-trick of wins, his main dangers looking to be the course and distance winner Wondrous Joy, Doris Souter and Jimmy Byrne. The selection actually runs here from the same mark as when comfortably winning an apprentice handicap at York last time, so clearly has a good chance at the weights with the same claimer on board. Doris Souter and Wondrous Joy are closely weighted on Newbury form and both hold chances. Jimmy Byrne is lightly race and improving, having finished third to the progressive Chantress last time. Young Safawan has been twice disappointing since winning in July but his stable is now back in good form. Squirtle Turtle is blinkered for the first time and this lightly-raced type could improve for them. However, overall, we like the look of Freeloader.
