Verdict

Unicorn Reward has been found a good race to land the hat trick, and is taken to score, but Feather Boa, Freeloader and Marfooq all pose a genuine threat here. The latter is a relatively lightly-raced maiden who was third in a competitive race at Newcastle last time and could still improve, although the suggestion is he might be better over a longer trip. Freeloader won over ten furlongs at Lingfield in May but has not been disgraced in two subsequent starts at this trip and should give a good account. But Unicorn Reward comes here in great heart and looks more than capable of making it three wins in a row. Richard Hannon's colt scored his first win in a handicap at Windsor last month, and followed up by beating Feather Boa by a neck at Leicester last time. The latter is unexposed at this trip, and strictly speaking has an excellent chance of reversing the form on six pounds better terms. However, Unicorn Reward seems to be improving with racing and we think he should be good enough to get his head in front again here.
