Up Tempo can complete a hat-trick at the expense of Charlie Bear, with Taranaki and Blue Tomato others to consider. Conor Dore has Up Tempo in good heart at present, the former Kevin Ryan inmate having won his last two outings, at Yarmouth and Newcastle. Victories in a claimer and an apprentice handicap are nothing special, but the eight-year-old remains well handicapped and in his current mood will surely go close. Charlie Bear finally opened his account at the 17th time of asking when landing a class 6 affair at Yarmouth, and now tackles slightly harder company but now that his confidence is restored, he too will be fancied to make his presence felt. Taranaki is absolutely thrown in on his best form, having scored at Goodwood off a mark of 82 in 2004, and his latest second at Wolverhampton suggests that he has not lost the winning habit just yet either. Blue Tomato overcame a nine-month absence to run a cracker in second at Folkestone and will be suited by the step up in trip. He has to give weight to the selection though, and Up Tempo is preferred.
