In depth

Verdict

Russian Finale didn't really build on a satisfactory debut at Pontefract when returned to the Yorkshire venue next time up but still commands the utmost respect on those efforts in what rates a modest maiden. The Dansili filly still has plenty of time on her side after just a couple of starts but CINDERS (NAP) is preferred despite being more exposed than her likely market rival. A consistent daughter of Lilbourne Lad, she handled her first step up to this trip in some style last month when a decent second to Tegara at Kempton and can go one better now. The rest with a run under their belts all look to require considerable improvement and the market should inform as to where we are with Paul Cole's newcomer Jazz Cat.
