        Verdict

        First Summer beat Thane Of Cawdor a short-head over track and trip last month and that pair are hard to separate. Power Up has gone close at Lingfield the last twice but had earlier finished behind third-placed Gunner Moyne at the same track while Deftera Lad is still searching for a first win after 16 attempts. BOYCHICK won at Salisbury before finding only one too good over course and distance. Ed Walker’s three-year-old charge gets the vote with more to come from him.
