Verdict

Lookout Mountain won at Huntingdon before finishing second at Wetherby off his new mark. Unfortunately, he's been raised a further 6lb since so will need to improve again. Hold Court hasn't fired this season and is unproven over 3m but Moorlands Mist has claims on his fourth at Exeter and the beating of Virginia Ash on that run, though whether he would have finished ahead of ROYAL NATIVE had that one stood up is debatable. Anthony Honeyball's five-year-old was travelling very strongly when coming to grief and has been rather surprisingly lowered 3lb since. Westaway has shown more than enough to win a race like this and is another for the short-list.
