Now that he has found some form The Composer remains on a dangerously low mark and can follow up his recent Salisbury success by taking this under Steve Drowne, while Soviet Sceptre and Pinnacle Point are among the dangers. The Composer came out fresh and performed with plenty of credit to win what admittedly was not a strong contest last time. Trip and ground here will again suit, and he is only 2lb worse off with Soviet Sceptre, having finished over six lengths ahead of that opponent at Salisbury, suggesting he can uphold that form and go in again. Pinnacle Point is going the right way is recent placed efforts are anything to go by and with conditions in his favour then a win would not be a shock. Check Up was in total control when landing a Windsor seller last month and although this is a little tougher he could still make the grade and a good run is anticipated. Bathwick Breeze is back on the level after making the frame over hurdles last time and along with Nottingham runner-up Faraday, is respected, but preference in the opener is for The Composer, who can call the tune.
