In depth

Verdict

The market should be the best guide to the chances of Dr Robin, who returns from a long absence. Ballycross was a hot favourite at Ludlow in February but a chase record of 1-20 speaks volumes. GLENO couldn’t get past Ocean Cove at Doncaster last time but wasn’t beaten far and races off the same mark here. He won on good going at Fakenham in the autumn so conditions will suit. Buster Thomas has never won beyond 2m4f but Django Django is interesting back on a winning mark and Thomas Patrick is 12lb lower than when landing a Grade 3 at Aintree in 2018.
