BARRAQUERO (NAP) was third at Newbury, where he led until well inside the final furlong, in a very promising first effort. There should be more to come and Brian Meehan’s colt has more scope than Airshow, second over track and trip on his third start. Expecting has shown ability in a couple of starts at Windsor but looks the type to pick up a nursery later in the season. The extra furlong is likely to suit Sandown sixth Dream Prospect and he makes most appeal of the remainder ahead of Henry Candy’s Sixties Icon debutant Sarstedt.
