In depth

Verdict

Goodnight Girl sets a decent standard on her efforts last season and the ground will suit, though her one below-par run came over course and distance in September so she may have to wait a bit longer for a first career victory. Great Shot Sam was second off a 2lb higher mark at Lingfield last month but conditions are something of an unknown back on Turf. GILDED HOUR didn’t settle on her first try over 7f at Kempton but she was third on soft going at Doncaster in November and might be the one to beat if Oisin Murphy can anchor her in the opening stages here. Fire Orchid won a Lingfield nursery in December but is 6lb higher now against better opposition.
