In depth

Verdict

These are an exposed bunch but heavy ground is still a bit of an unknown for most of them. Spic 'n Span has plenty of form on soft going and the Fibresand, however, though was well behind Molly Jones at Bath last time having stumbled out of the stalls. Fathom Five has already won at Yarmouth and Catterick this year and is enjoying a bit of a revival. He escapes a penalty for Friday's success and must go well but Bubbly Bailey may find conditions too testing. CAPTAIN SCOOBY was third off a 7lb higher mark on heavy going at Beverley last month and gets a tentative vote, though has disappointed twice since.
