Philip Hobbs and Richard Johnson, successful with Orangerie last year, can repeat the feat with Cool Spice who gets the vote ahead of What Do'in and Members Only. Cool Spice, six times a winner on the Flat, caught a tartar when second to Comply Or Die on her hurdles bow at Chepstow, and should be capable of going one better. She makes a bit more appeal than What Do'in, an Irish point-to-point winner who did little wrong when landing a Perth bumper on his British debut, but who may benefit from his debut over timber. Members Only was snapped up by David Johnson after a promising debut in bumper company at Thurles, but may need softer ground and more time, while Flat winner Analyze has not impressed with his jumping so far and is hard to enthuse about. Cool Spice should be the answer in the finale.
