Verdict

A huge field for this amateur jockeys’ handicap. Jockeyship could play a part and the likes of Derek O’Connor, who partners Tim Pat, and Almazhar Garde’s partner James King have bags of experience. Barry O’Neill teams up with the race-fit Court Master while Gina Andrews, who has ridden winners around here, is on board the 2021 winner Strictlyadancer. Arctic Ambition, Menindee and Bella Bliss have travelled over from Ireland and Herewegohoney, Mole Court and Destiny Is All are recent winners. One True King’s last win came off a 5lb higher mark but, even though he’s still a maiden over fences and is being ridden by an inexperienced jockey, BELLS OF PETERBORO gets the nod as he’s been dropped a pound since his third at Newton Abbot where he was clearly in need of the outing.
