Verdict

It would be no surprise to see Big Easy do better after a pipe-opener. Two Swallows appeared to be in the handicapper’s grip last time at Ludlow but today’s quicker surface should suit. Mr Clarkson has won three of his five hurdle starts and has only gone up 4lb since winning a valuable contest at Sedgefield, though has a further half-mile to cover today. Solstice Star was staying on behind Fortunate George over 2m4f last time at Uttoxeter but the one we like here is SOLOMN GRUNDY. Given a break prior to his latest run at Kempton, he can reverse that form with Duke Street here granted better luck in-running with a return to 3m definitely in his favour. Scotchtown stays well but is probably a few pounds too high now and may struggle to reverse novice form with Back To The Thatch earlier in the campaign.
