Verdict

CITY CHIEF (NAP) never gave himself a chance when making errors at Ayr but he's a better horse than that and if handling the hustle and bustle of a big field, he must take high rank in this affair. Guetapan Collonges made light work of rivals up at Carlisle and a 7lb rise may not be enough to prevent a repeat. Flash Collonges never really figured in the Scottish National but Paul Nicholls won this race a couple of years ago so he is very much respected. First Lord De Cuet is back from a wind surgery and cannot be ruled out despite it being two years since he last got his head in front. Cloudy Glen unseated at the first fence in the Grand National but his stable are in flying form and this is a major drop in class while Rose Of Arcadia remains unexposed.
