Lord Du Mesnil needs the mud and the going may have dried out too much for the Carlisle runner-up but Definite Plan goes on the shortlist having come right back to form at Navan. Anightinlambourn and Jimmy The Digger are closely matched on a couple of runs here in the autumn and Java Point was second on the New Course here in January. Percussion ran a cracker when third in the Becher at Aintree in December but hasn’t reproduced that form in two runs since.
