In depth

Verdict

Bold Endeavour ran a cracker back over hurdles in last month’s Coral Cup and is a pound lower in this. Homme Public has had a fine season, winning at Wetherby and Huntingdon, and ran well again at Bangor last month. SCARFACE (NAP) was ahead of Supreme Gift when fourth in a Grade 2 at Haydock in February and then a good third off this mark back in a handicap at Kempton when Yorksea was behind. His novice form is stronger than that of Lallygag yet he gets 6lb from the Nicholls runner. Lady Adare looked to be coming to hand at Wincanton but Boombawn has disappointed so far in handicaps. Loup De Maulde needs further and looks in the handicapper’s grip while Master Chewy has been expensive to follow throughout his career.
