In depth

Verdict

Another wide open affair in which all the runners have sound claims on there best form but a chance is taken on Fondmort who was a good second behind Young Spartacus in the Mildmay Of Flete. He goes well on the ground and with his stable back amongst the winners he will be hard to beat. Upgrade rates the main danger but he has his own ideas about the game. However if he ordains to put his best foot forward he will be hard to beat. Dark n' Sharp was a good second behind Golden Alpha at Aintee last time out and he gets a handy seven pounds from Fondmort however his best efforts have come over a shorter trip. Wahiba Sands was fifth behind Native Upmanship last time and is another with a chance but he has not progressed as expected this season and for that reason he is readily opposed. Redemption has had jumping problems of late and he is quickly passed over while Poliantas needs to improve to score.
