Martin Pipe won this six times in the last 10 years but his son David has yet to have any success but is represented by both Vodka Bleu and Piraya who both have to be respected, especially the latter, but it is hard to get away from SILVERBURN, who is taken to give Paul Nicholls his first winner of this event. The seven-year-old is not as good as his brother Denman but showed decent form over fences last term, finishing a close fourth in the Royal & SunAlliance Chase, after an encouraging campaign over hurdles the previous season. Silverburn looks to be well treated off a mark of just 143 and he is taken to make a winning return. Anything saddled by Nigel Twiston-Davies at this meeting has to be considered and his runner here Imperial Commander is no exception off a decent racing weight. There should be little to choose between Bible Lord and Ouzbeck on their running here last month but neither looks to have more than place claims. Nicky Henderson's team could hardly be in better form and the reappearing Barbers Shop, who showed progressive form as a novice last term, has to be considered over a trip that suits. Jonjo O'Neill's Don't Push It has fallen on his last two starts here and may be best watched today, while Maljimar seems a shade high in the weights and a better option looks to be Silverburn.
