Banjaxed Girl's declaration means that more than half of this field must carry more weight than the handicapper has allotted them. The top weight's latest outing came in the David Nicholson Mares' Hurdle here last month but she has a bit to find with Ocean Transit and ALASI on that run. Only half-a-length separated the latter pair behind easy winner Quevega but Paul Webber's seven-year-old is fractionally better off at the weights today, which may just swing things her way, and Santera is held on that run. Of those nearer the foot of the handicap, Violin Davis is a consistent sort and Ryan Mahon's 5lb claim should come in handy while David Bass takes 3lb off Veiled, who won at Warwick last month and is less exposed than most.
