Some smart staying chasers in opposition but Stormez looks head and shoulders above his rivals and is hard to oppose. Martin Pipe's charge has proved most progressive over fences having won seven of his nine starts. His victories include a competitive handicap over three miles three furlongs here in November as well as valuable novice wins at Kempton and Newbury and it will take a good horse to lower his colours here. Ask Henry stays well and is an exciting chaser in the making but is held by the selection on last month's Newbury form while Young Ottoman will find this tougher after picking up a Plumpton event last time. Druid's Glen and Lucky Bay are progressive types but both have something to find on these terms. The pick of the Irish challenge is Hedgehunter but there are doubts concerning the ground and his stable could be in better form.
