In depth

Verdict

Nonios is penalised for winning a Class 4 contest here a week ago and will find this much tougher. As will C Note, who finished well ahead of both Greatest Journey and Tenor when scoring at Wolverhampton recently. Noble Gift is at home in this grade and went close at Lingfield last week and Calling Out is also capable at this level on his day. But KYLLACHY GALA (NAP) came out best in a decent handicap at Kempton last time and Marco Botti’s charge gets the nod to go in again raised only 2lb.

Calling Out (FR) 14-1 (9-10) Took keen hold, tracked leaders, ridden and unable to quicken over 1f out, weakened final furlong, 5th of 9, 5l behind Cosmeapolitan (8-13) at Kempton 1m 3f hcp (2) pol in Feb.

C Note (IRE) 10-1 (9-5) Prominent, ridden inside final furlong, kept on to lead post, won at Wolverhampton 1m 1f hcp (3) pol in Mar beating Mythical Madness (9-1) by hd, 7 ran.

Noble Gift 7-1 (9-10) Pushed along to track leader after 1f out, ridden to lead inside final furlong, headed final strides, 2nd of 6, nk behind Fire Fighting (9-9) at Lingfield 1m 4f hcp (2) pol in Mar.

Greatest Journey 33-1 (9-7) With leader, challenged over 3f out, ridden and weakened inside final furlong, 6th of 7, 7 1/2l behind C Note (9-5) at Wolverhampton 1m 1f hcp (3) pol in Mar.
