In depth

Verdict

Anatomic is penalised for winning over a shorter trip at Wolverhampton recently while Army General is fitted with a combination of tongue-tie and cheekpieces after finishing third of only four runners over 1m2f here. But SPEYCASTER finished well clear of the rest when third at Bath behind a winner rated 88 and Ralph Beckett’s colt gets the vote on that form. Francesi posted a better effort over 7f here last time while Deauville Legend finished behind a subsequent winner when fourth at Haydcock and the Godolphin colt Western Writer’s half-brother and stablemate Echo Point made a winning debut on the all-weather.
