Verdict
A couple of these stand out. Desert Empire made a winning debut when successful at Lingfield but is conceding weight to HEADINGLEY. The latter was beaten only a head when caught in the dying strides at Ayr on his introduction and Mark Johnston’s colt can come out best on this occasion. Bague D'or posted a better effort at Goodwood without threatening but both Desert Cat and stablemate Pride Of Nepal went backwards last time though soft ground may have been an excuse for the latter.
