        Verdict

        Villalobos reversed earlier form with Star Of St Louis when scoring at Lingfield in March with Bold And Loyal also well beaten. The latter has subsequently finished behind fifth-placed EGOISTE (NAP) at Southwell but David Menuisier’s charge wasn’t beaten far on that reappearance run and with improvement also expected over this longer trip on his second start after wind surgery, he gets the vote. Captain Pugwash may prove best of the rest.
