      Verdict

      Pactolus is a winner without a penalty after landing an apprentices' race at Wolverhampton but is upped a grade for this. One Pekan moves in the opposite direction having finished behind Home Cummins in a tougher handicap last time but BROMYARD is less exposed. Tom Eaves could afford to ease down the latter in the closing stages when winning a maiden last month and David Simcock's charge looks capable of better still stepping up in trip. Farham is also lightly-raced but has a few lengths to find with the selection on earlier running.
