Verdict
Blame Culture finished in front of Atletico when runner-up at Wolverhampton recently but this looks a tougher assignment. Maksab won in this grade off a higher mark at Lingfield back in February and is preferred to San Carlos back on the all-weather today while Habub was set a difficult task at Newbury on his handicap debut and steps up in trip. But Jim Crowley prefers the chances of KARNAVAAL in this, despite the latter returning a losing favourite at Sandown in June, and Sir Michael Stoute’s charge gets a tentative vote in a tricky contest on only his second start as a gelding.
