In depth

Verdict

Jack The Truth carries 5lb extra bidding for a hat-trick of course and distance wins but is upped in class. Grandfather Tom also faces a tougher task after scoring at Yarmouth and Benny And The Jets came up short in this grade over track and trip last month. Lancelot Du Lac is not the force of old but still went close at this level earlier in the year while A Momentofmadness is preferred to Queen's Order and Top Breeze returning to the all-weather. FIREPOWER (NAP) was aimed high last season after making a winning debut and was having his first outing for nearly a year in a tougher sprint here last month. He’ll be sharper for that and, with improvement also expected on his second start after wind surgery, Clive Cox’ charge may prove good enough.
